Relinquishment of Minor for Adoption
The legal document a birth parent signs to release the
child for adoption.
- Revocation (rev-o-kay-shun)
In North Carolina, you have 21 days to change your mind
after signing a release form if the child is 3 months old or
younger. If the child is over 3 months old, you have 7 days
to change your mind.
- Notary
A person who has legal power to witness (see) the signing
of important papers.
