Licensing Requirements
- Resident of Catawba County or surrounding county.
- At least 21 years of age
- Couples must have a stable relationship for at least one year
- Adequate sleeping space
- No substantiated allegations of child neglect or abuse
- Police background and fingerprint check on all adults living in the household
- Financially stable before placing a child in the home
- Fire safety and Environmental or Health inspections
- Medical exam and TB tests for ALL family members
- Completed Home Study conducted by staff
- Signed Agency Agreement
- Pre-service training through Therapeutic Foster Care
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Defensive Driving
- Medication Administration Training
- In-service training through the year
- Re-licensing conducted bi-annually
